The bow writes. The strings answer.

Key noise and Key duration shape the detail of the keys. Compare an open passage with a more articulated line.
Sympathetic strings and Body resonance shape the resonances. Find the point where they extend the melody without blurring its outline.
The audio engines have been reworked. The previous recordings have been removed while their replacements are prepared.

Keep the identity of the bow, then choose its surroundings: piano, electronic drums or a synth texture.
Place a short phrase after the vocal or piano. The rests let the sympathetic resonance come through.
Try longer notes in the chorus. Adjust bow pressure and vibrato to keep a melodic direction.
A subtle modulation or a sparse delay can connect this bowed texture to the electronic elements of your track.
The playing controls stay in view. Explore the five lower panels to shape the envelope, timbre, macros, modulation and effects.
Shape the length of a phrase while keeping the resonance that gives Nyckelharpa its character.
A short attack separates a response to the piano. A more gradual entrance can bring a long note into a pad; keep enough contact to hear the bow.
Set decay and held level on a simple melody. Sustain can carry the theme while the sympathetic strings extend its colour.
Shorten the tail in an articulated motif. Leave more time in an open passage, checking that resonance does not cover the next chord.

Measured processing time per audio block in an offline VST3 host, after warm-up. Three 60-second renders per case; 128, 256 and 512-sample blocks. Exposed reverb, delay, chorus, flanger and phaser controls were toggled; other processing kept its preset settings. The stress setting was selected from the programs exposed to this host. These figures describe this configuration, not minimum requirements or guaranteed real-time DAW performance.
Linux installation and dependencies checked in a Debian container. Audio hardware and Linux DAWs were not tested.
